Accountancy & Finance - Vacancy Details Job Specification Title: Assistant Audit Manager Location: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire Reporting to: Manager and a Partner Background: For a 17 partner firm of Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers with offices based in Aylesbury, Hemel Hempstead and Watford, employing over 100 staff. The Firm has teams of in-house specialists and experts that provide high levels of personal service in order to deliver effective financial advice and support to owner-managed businesses, SMEs and individuals. The Firm carries out audit and accounts work for a variety of businesses and organisations including: Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs). Owner-Managed Businesses. Groups, including those owned or with activities overseas. Specialist audits including pension schemes, charities, solicitors, golf clubs, and other regulated businesses. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Working directly with the Firm’s Partners Assume responsibility for a portfolio of clients Plan, control and complete accounts and audits under the overall control of a Manager or Partner Conduct such work in accordance with the Firm’s procedures and guidelines Assist with supervision and work based training for trainees and technicians Assist with billing and cash collection Carry out tax related work as directed Person Specification: ACA or ACCA with some audit experience or equivalent IT competence and familiarity with computerised packages The ability to work on their own initiative and offer a flexible approach Excellent communication skills The ability to work under pressure in order to meet tight deadlines Employment Details Full time - hours of work: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm, Monday to Friday, with 1 hour for lunch each day Package: Remuneration will be dependent on experience The package will include: Death In Service scheme cover (4x salary) A contributory Stakeholder Pension Scheme (Employer: 5%; Employee: 3%) following completion of a 13-week probationary period Annual Leave - 25 days per annum Smoking: The firm operates a non-smoking policy Driving: The ideal candidate must have a clean, valid Driving Licence and will be required to travel to Clients’ premises (relevant mileage costs will be reimbursed) Click here to e-mail
