Job Specification

Title: Client Delivery/Data Analyst

Location: Marylebone, London NW1

Reporting to: Manager, Client Delivery

Background:

A global provider of pharmaceutical market intelligence requires a data analyst to control and develop production flows, provide analysis and information to our client teams.

The services provided use data from a variety of sources. Data is captured from EPOS transactions, hospital dispensaries, ethical and OTC product sales from manufacturer and wholesale depots into retail outlets and GP prescription data all within UK and Ireland on a daily basis.

Once data is accumulated for a weekly or monthly time period (worked to strict schedules), it is passed through a production flow.  The client’s specific needs are defined into reports and delivered weekly, monthly or quarterly.

You will provide support to clients so maximum value is obtained from products and services whilst facilitating and building long term relationships. Translate customer requirements accurately into regular or ad hoc deliverables using report definition tools. Research and analyze client’s data queries using market knowledge and specialist data mining tools.

When required you will fulfil on site billable secondments for specific projects or on going regular analysis/reporting engagements. Understand key client challenges and how these can be translated through the factory systems to ensure highest quality deliverables and input to enhancements. Support technical teams in standard production processes and undertaking of client data queries and report set up.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Provision of expert guidance and support to clients as a specialist on products and services.

Translation of customer’s data requirements into datasets using suite of report definition tools.

Research and analyse client queries from the deliverable through the production platforms to the raw data from suppliers using appropriate data mining tools.

Client and internal services training.

Proactive approach to ensure deliverables meets specific customer requirements to time and high quality.

Build client relationships and understanding of their business needs whilst attending on site meetings and support.

Align to client coverage team and input to commercial meetings from a technical and client best practise perspective.

Grow knowledge and understanding of the pharmaceutical market through data and external sources.

Produce ad-hoc analysis where required and communicate data solutions in a factual and concise manner.

Support technical team during production cycle and understand processes applied to the data at the various stages.

Relay key client and market information to technical teams to aid and support decision-making procedures.

Have integral role in new developments and enhancements from both a client and technical team standpoint.

Monitor and raise failures of production critical jobs through the appropriate channels of product development support when possible.

Person Specification:

Graduate or equivalent.

Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the Pharma Industry.

Proven experience of product info systems, processes and data or proven experience of operational database user support with experience of database query tools or similar business analysis tools eg MS Access, MS Excel, SAS, VBA, SQL, SQL Server, Business Objects, Mainframe

Excellent problem-solving and analysis skills.

Excellent written & oral communication skills (technical & non-technical).

Attention to detail to ensure completeness and accuracy in all client engagements.

Strong interpersonal skills and relationship management experience.

Proven customer-focused service approach in managing responses to queries (both internal and client-originated).

Level-headed under pressure of deadlines and client queries.

Team player.

Package:

Salary c£28,000 plus good benefits package.
