Job Specification

Title: Financial Analyst (Project Deferrals and Client Services)

Location: Marylebone, London NW1

Reporting to: Finance Manager, Cost Management

Background:

A global provider of pharmaceutical market intelligence requires a Financial Analyst to provide for the accounting of project deferrals and amortisation for the Cost Management group. The role is also responsible for the management accounting for the EMEA Client Services department (approx $10M).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Project accounting:

Calculate costs, deferrals and amortisation. Book deferral journals, forecast and report on projects.

Work with relevant internal departments to ensure sufficiency of project tracking systems.

Provide primary analysis of project deferrals and amortisation for the CM group.

Provide financial management for the Client Services department including:

Liaise with the Business Management in order to gather information relevant to the monthly close.

Monthly journal preparation (Prepayments and Accruals)

Prepare monthly forecast and flag Risks & Opportunities

Financial analysis, headcount analysis

Post month-end reporting to the Business Management on a monthly basis

Reporting to Corporate and Financial Mgmt team as required

Work with FP&A team on financial analysis as required.

Ad Hoc analysis as required.

Contribute actively to the Cost Management team.

Person Specification:

Qualified to degree level or equivalent in Finance or business related field.

Part qualified accountant or equivalent (CIMA or ACCA).

Some experience of management accounts and the month-end process.

Some experience with financial systems including SAP and Hyperion planning.

Advanced excel modelling skills.

Successful candidate will be supported in the study for an accounting qualification (CIMA or ACCA). 

Package:

£32-35,000 + study assistance + Benefits.
