BRIEF SUMMARY OF TERMS OF BUSINESS

Database Search/Contingency Recruitment  

Including free advertising on the Internet

No fees are incurred until an appointment results 

Introductory Fees = 20%

Guarantee Period = 10 Weeks  

If a Candidate resigns or is dismissed within ten weeks of starting work Resource Selection will make a refund to the Employer as follows (providing always that payment of all fees have been made within 14 days of Resource Selection’s invoice)
 
Candidate resigns or is dismissed within: Percentage of Refund of the Fee: 
2 weeks 100%
4 weeks 80%
6 weeks 60%
8 weeks 40%
10 weeks 20%
 
If the Candidate is re-engaged by the Employer or by an associate or subsidiary of the Employer within six months of the date of resignation or dismissal then the refund is repayable to Resource Selection.

Selection Assignments

Resource Selection are retained by the Employer and fees become payable in stages to reflect the work carried out.

Initial Retainer (10%) plus the cost of advertising

Balance on Appointment (10%)

SELECTION ASSIGNMENTS

When Resource Selection are retained by the Employer to find and recruit candidates for a particular post then the fees of Resource Selection shall be 20% of the first year’s emoluments payable to the successful Candidate, such fees to be paid as follows:

10% on confirmation of instruction to Resource Selection plus the cost of any advertising agreed upon;

10% or the balance on appointment.

Rechargeable Expenses - Actual advertising costs, including items such as artwork and production will be invoiced upon authorisation to commence an assignment.  Expenses incurred by candidates and consultants, will be normally invoiced at the shortlist stage and be payable within 14 days thereof.

Please note the following:

Fees are intended to reflect the work carried out on assignments and are therefore non-refundable;

Should the assignment change significantly from the original brief, Resource Selection reserves the right to charge an additional fee of 20%  to cover the cost of carrying out a second assignment;  

Should the client curtail or cancel the assignment after commencement and prior to completion, Resource Selection reserves the right to charge the full fee of 20%.

    Temporary and Contract Services

Resource Selection are retained by the Employer to provide Temporary and/or Contract Staff for fixed and variable term assignments.

PROVISION OF TEMPORARY OR CONTRACT STAFF

Where Resource Selection are retained by the Employer to find suitably qualified candidates to undertake specific projects and/or short-term assignments, then the fees of Resource Selection will normally be negotiated individually for each person so required, with payment being due as soon as the special project or short-term assignment has commenced.  However, where no special fee has been negotiated, then the fees of Resource Selection shall be 50% of the weekly remuneration payable to the Candidate (for each week, and in respect of a part of a week then pro rata - for temporary jobs payable on a weekly basis invoiced weekly and payable on delivery of invoice) or a sum equal to 20% of the remuneration, payable to the Candidate where a single fee is negotiated in respect of that Candidate’s temporary assignment or consultancy.

TRANSFER FROM TEMPORARY TO PERMANENT STAFF

In circumstances where Resource Selection  has introduced a Candidate to the Employer on a consultancy or temporary basis and the Employer chooses to offer a permanent position to such Candidate either during the temporary employment of the Candidate or within three months of the conclusion of the Candidate’s part-time or consultancy employment with the Employer then the Employer will pay to Resource Selection a transfer fee equal to 20% of the first year’s emoluments payable to such Candidate; or provide an extended period of hire of the temporary worker for 24 weeks.
